Finding play-doh

My soon-to-be-three little guy was looking for play-doh, and I was feeling pretty good at the moment. I decided to help him look for it. I crouched on the floor and looked under the sofa since that's where EVERYTHING disappears to. But no luck this time. But by now I know that it's the best position to look for stuff since it was bound to be under something and did a 360 degrees perimeter search. And there it was near the umbrella. I told him it was near the umbrella and he decided to crouch near the sofa and look under it. I told him again, and he moved the carpet looking for it. I told again, and he decided to dump all the books on the table and look under it! Patience weaning by then, I said "how many umbrellas do you see near you?" and he says "One" and suddenly spots the play-doh. He runs to it and happily announces, "Look Amma, I found the Play-doh!". Yes darling, you sure did!

Snow in spring

It was one of those warm bright days that marked the arrival of spring. I was feeling so good and kiddo was out on the patio looking at squirrels and birds and grass. You know, one of those good mothering moments. And I decided to make a cup of tea and join him in the patio. And he suddenly says, "ohh noooo snowwww". I ran out, heartbroken that my dreams about spring were crushed in such a terrible manner only to see him looking up at pretty white clouds on the sky (you know the ones, the ones that makes the sky looks like it just got back from the laundromat) and told me again - "Amma look, there is soooo much snow on the sky!". I could only smile (ohh, who am I kidding? I hugged and kissed until he pulled away!)
